The background is 'Berlin woolwork'.
Stitched in green & brown wool, the flowers & leaves are in beading.

Rust marks of pins (brown markings) show along edges

Fine linen cuff with crochet trim edge that is not inserted in seam regularly.
May have been added later or repaired. Red initials hand stitched at left edge of cuff

The inset panel of the Humpty (ie. seating pouffe) is hand smocked with 2 different variations - both are handstitched. For more information...
